For home care providers

A life-story book for every client

A cloth-bound book of 120 questions that gives carers, clients and families something real to talk about, from the very first visit, with your name on it.

Tell Me Everything with an example logo on its band, and In My Own Words with an example logo on its cover

Both books shown with an example logo.

Why it works

Something to talk about from the very first visit

The first weeks of care set the tone. Our book gives every new client a beautiful place to tell their story, and gives their carer and their family a way in.

Clients feel known

Their story in their own words, so a new carer has something real to talk about.

Carers build the bond

A question or two over a cup of tea. Continuity of care, made easy.

Your service stays in mind

Your name in every client's home, and in the family's hands.

Backed by the evidence

Good for wellbeing. Good for conversation.

NICE

Recommends group reminiscence for people living with mild to moderate dementia.

Cochrane

Reminiscence can improve quality of life, communication and mood.

NICE guideline NG97 (2018), 1.4.3. Cochrane review, Woods and others (2018).

Two books, depending on how many you order

Four ways you could use it

In the first weeks

A gift for each new client that starts the conversation.

With their regular carer

A question or two on each visit, over a cup of tea.

With the family

Families pick it up between visits and add their own questions.

At Christmas

One gift for every client, from every office.

And for families who want more

A film, for families who want to keep a voice for good

The book is the place to start. Some families will want to see and hear the story too. We film it in the client's own home, with their own Story Coach, and families book with us directly, so there's nothing for your team to do.

Questions

Is there a minimum order?

Twenty-five books. Under 250 copies, you get Tell Me Everything, our own book, with your logo on its band. From 250 copies, you get In My Own Words, your own edition, in your colours.

Can we see one first?

The first copies arrive in mid-December. Until then, we send a picture with your logo on, some sample pages and a quote, so you can see the book before you decide.

How long does it take?

Once we have your logo files, we send you an artwork proof to approve. For Tell Me Everything with your band, a go-ahead by 27 November gets the books to you in mid-December. For In My Own Words, we will confirm the printer's dates with you.

How do carers use it?

A question or two on each visit, over a cup of tea. The client answers and the carer can write, if the client would like. The book stays in the client's home.

Does anything about our clients come to you?

No. It is a paper book that stays with the client. Nothing is filled in online.

Can we change the questions?

The questions are the same in every copy, so the book works the way it was designed to.

What does Time Capsule put in the book?

"Made with Time Capsule" on the back, and a bookmark that tells families about our filmed life stories, in case they want the story on film one day.

Shall we send you a picture with your logo on?

Tell us who you are, and we will send you a picture of both books with your logo on, some sample pages and a quote.

One of the team will come back to you within one working day.
